What to expect

We are so excited that you are here to check out Kids Downtown!  If this is your first time at CD, we hope to answer any questions you have so that you know what to expect when you arrive at a service.

Kids Downtown (infant to 5th grade) meets in our facility across from the Visulite Theater


  • Our Kids Downtown facility is located across from the Visulite Theater (just look for the large sandwich board signs). If you have trouble finding the entrance, just ask one of our welcome team members at the Visulite to help you. 
  • Infants and toddlers check-in is located in the front of the building and the Pre-K through 5th grade check-in is located in the back of the building.  
  • The Kids Downtown check-in counter opens 15 minutes prior to the service.  For first time visitors, we have a Connect Card for you to fill out to register and check-in your children.  We will gather basic contact information.
  • Upon check-in, parents and children will receive matching security badges.  Each badge is assigned a number so that parents may be paged if necessary.  If you are paged, your child’s number will appear on the screen during service. 
  • Be sure to label any of your child’s belongings!  After the service, you can pick up your child and belongings in the same area that you checked in. 

Safety and Security

Our volunteers are loving, caring people who have had background and reference checks.  They have submitted applications and have been through training.
